Before I Was Me

Reincarnation and the Kabbalistic Journey of the Soul

Who were you before you were you?

Long before we enter this world, Kabbalah teaches that the soul has already traveled a remarkable journey—and that our present lifetime may be only one chapter in a much larger story.

What happens to the soul before birth? Why would a soul return to this world more than once? Can experiences from a previous lifetime shape the person we are today? And if we have lived before, why don’t we remember it?

In this fascinating lecture, Rabbi Yechiel Krisch explores the Kabbalistic teachings on reincarnation, past lives, and the soul’s journey before birth. Drawing upon centuries of Jewish mystical thought, he will unravel some of Judaism’s most intriguing teachings about where our souls come from, why they enter this world, and what they are ultimately here to accomplish.

More than an exploration of who we may have been, Before I Was Me offers a compelling new perspective on who we are right now—and who we are meant to become.

Discover how the Kabbalistic understanding of the soul can bring deeper meaning to our relationships, our struggles, our unique circumstances, and the seemingly mysterious paths our lives sometimes take.
