Rise Up!
An Evening of Song & Celebration
“Behold, a people that rises up like a lion…” (Numbers 23:24)
Chances are the enemies of Israel and their antisemitic loyalists around the world had no idea what they’d be unleashing when choosing to come after the Jewish People. Rather than back away in the face of the violence and intimidation, Jews the world over have been responding by strengthening their bond with Israel, intensifying their expressions of Jewish pride, and taking their observance of tradition to new levels.
The Conejo Valley Jewish Community has certainly been a part of this dynamic renaissance. As Chabad’s newly-expanded educational programs and outreach activities have been enjoying record enrollment and participation, this resurgence is proving to be more than a passing emotional response to a crisis, but an enduring spiritual phenomenon emanating from deep within the Jewish soul. Indeed, the sleeping lion has been reawakened – and is “rising up!”
On June 19, 2025, Chabad of the Conejo and friends will celebrate this phenomenon with an inspiring and entertaining Gala-Concert event at the Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks.
