Scholar-In-Residence Weekend

Delightful, Inspiring, and Traditional Shabbat Dinner and Lecture in Honor of The 19th of Kislev

Charged with the grave crime of treason, Rabbi Schneur Zalman, the founder of Chabad Chassidism was arrested and imprisoned by the Czarist regime in the year 1798. His only “crimes” were his selfless efforts to strengthen the Jewish people and to disseminate Chassidic teachings. Ultimately he was cleared of the charges and released on the 19th of Kislev. The day has since become recognized as a historic milestone in the development of the Chassidic movement.

Rabbi Kesselman is a well-respected Rov who fields 75 daily halachic queries, providing guidance to people worldwide. For the past 12 years, he has also served as the Rabbi of Congregation Shaarei Tefilah, where he is dedicated to the spiritual growth of his community and passionately teaches Torah to people from all walks of life.

Rabbi Kesselman will also be speaking on Shabbat day, during and after services. The Shabbat day program is open to all. No reservations necessary.
