Dear Friend,
If ever there was a year we need to celebrate the lights of Chanukah – which represent Jewish pride and resolve, hope and solidarity – this is that year!
With the Jewish People facing enemies on all of our borders in the Middle East and dealing with increased vile anti-semitism throughout the world, we need to send a clear and strong message that we are not cowered or intimidated by the forces of darkness and hate. Rather, we stand tall for our values and ideals, and we stand firmly with our brothers and sisters in Israel!
Indeed, this will be a common theme as Chabad rolls out a full schedule of Menorah lightings and public celebrations throughout the nights of Chanukah across the Conejo Valley and Ventura County. Among those events will be our Family Chanukah Festival on Monday, December 15, at the Shoppes Center in Westlake Village and a Chanukah Wonderland on Thursday, December 18 at the Agoura Hills Event Center. Over the course of the upcoming holiday, thousands of men, women and children in our part of the world will look up and see lights that bespeak the miracles of Jewish survival. Most of all, they will join together in proclaiming: “Am Yisroel Chai” – always and forever!
All of these events will be hosted and sponsored by Chabad of the Conejo – made possible through the support of conscientious friends like you.
